Ministry of Rural Development grants over Rs 2 crore Central Financial Assistance to J&K and Gujarat under SGSY

The Ministry of Rural Development has given its Approval for financial assistance of Rs. 2.04 crore to the State Government of Jammu & Kashmir and Gujarat under the Swarna Jayanti Gram Swarozgar Yojana (SGSY) during the current financial year 2009-10. Financial Assistance to the tune of Rs.31.20 lakh out of the Central Allocation of hasbeen granted for the Pulwama District Rural Development Agency (DRDA) in Jammu & Kashmir as 1st instalment of Central Share of funds under the SGSY during the current financial year. Four District Rural Development Agencies (DRDAs) of Gujarat will be getting Rs.1.73 crore towards 2nd instalment of Central Share of funds under the SGSY during 2009-10. The Districts are Amreli (Rs.38.50 lakh), Anand (Rs.62.29 lakh), Navasari (Rs.66.50 lakh) and Rajkot (Rs.68.78 lakh).
