Chief Justice of India inaugurate Central Administrative Tribunal (CAT) conference today

K G Balakrishna, Chief Justice of India, will inaugurate “The All India Conference of the Central Administrative Tribunal (CAT)” on today.
M Veerappa Moily, Union Minister for Law & Justice and Prithviraj Chavan, Minister of State for Personnel, Public Grievances & Pensions will also address the conference.
The Conference is aimed at holding free and frank discussions on service laws and issues that have a bearing on the functioning of CAT. The conference will come out with suggestions to improve administration of justice through the tribunals.
V K Bali, Justice, Chairman CAT, several Judges of the Supreme Court, Attorney General, Solicitors General; the Chairmen, the Vice-Chairmen of CAT will be present at the Conference.
Members from all the 66 Central Administrative Tribunals in the country and members of the CAT Bar and the High Court Bar Association will also take part in the deliberations.
