The Indian Air Force Mountaineering Expedition to Mt. Bhagirathi-II was flagged on 25 Oct at Air HQ, New Delhi by Director General Administration, Air Marshal Naresh Verma
The five member team led by Wing Commander Bhavna Mehra successfully summitted Mt. Bhagirathi-II located at a height of 6512 m in the Gangotri region of Uttarakhand on 14 Oct 09.
