Deepawali, the festival of lights is the celebration of the victory of good over evil. Celebrated throughout the country in a mood of festivity and gaiety, Deepawali symbolises the triumph of good over evil, of light over darkness, of truth over untruth. With hopes that this year festival bring peace, prosperity and communal harmony amongst the people and illumine the lives of those who are in need of help, President of India, Pratibha Devisingh Patil, Vice President of India M Hamid Ansari, Prime Minister, Manmohan Singh extended their best wishes to all the citizens of the country.
